It's on! Scorsese to direct "Sinatra."

Just in from Variety: Martin Scorsese will direct the biopic Sinatra for Universal Pictures and Mandalay Pictures. Universal and Mandalay have been quietly developing the project after securing the story rights and music rights from Frank Sinatra Enterprises, a process that took years. Now the question is: who'll play Frank?

Kevin Spacey is too old to span the lifetime, though I bet he's lobbying for the role as I type this. I propose the obvious.
